NGC2280 is a medium-sized spiral galaxy located about 3 degrees WNW of the εCMa in the southern part of Canis Major. It forms a small galaxy group with surrounding galaxies, floating approximately 75 million light-years away. Despite its somewhat faint appearance, it exhibits a morphology with two arms wound asymmetrically.
