This image cuts off the field extends over Taurus and Perseus by using of a telephoto lens.
A reddish curve of nebulosity is the California nebula (NGC1499), a tiny star cluster just below is the Pleiades (M45),
and a fairly large V-shaped asterism in lower left-hand side is the Hyades.
We cannot see the California nebula in these three impressive winter objects with naked eyes,
but two splendid star clusters are easily detected.
And this field contains a widely-spread dimmed gaseous matter of the "Taurus molecular cloud", we can detect that only on the long-exposed digital images.
