In northern edge of the Sagittarius, you can find out a faint emission nebula of IC4701 at a degree southwest of the Omega Nebula (M17) seen at upper left hand-side. The nebula has a size of about 60×40 arc minutes but is extraordinary dimmed, not a observing object in scope-aided eyes. The nebula is positioned just north of the Star Cloud in Sagittarius, you can appreciate uncountable fine stars distributed at this vicinity. The distance to the nebula has been estimated about 12 thousand light years.
