Arp 254 is an interacting galaxy pair lying at 2 degrees NNE from beta Librae. A northern galaxy is NGC5917 and a southern dimmed and elongated one is MCG-1-39-3 with a brightness of 14th magnitude. Both galaxies are connected by a dimmed light bridge, considered that the influence of interaction made MCG-1-39-3 elongated.
