Abell 85 is a very minor supernova remnant in 3 degrees NNW from β Cas. The remnant has a ring shape with its diameter of about 20 arc minutes, the southern part looks fairly striking compared with northern area. The remnant is extraordinary indistinct, difficult to capture on films or digital devices.
The image has been cropped with an equivalent focal length of 700mm.
