In 2001, the Venus had inferior conjunction on March 28, passed between the Sun and Earth. This picture has captured in midday of 4 days later, you can see the Venus like an extraordinary thin string.
The Venus has an apparent brightness of -4th magnitude in this day, and about 42 millions kilometers (67.2 millions miles) apart from the Earth, has a diameter of about 1 arc minute. This size exceeds that of the Jupiter in its opposition. After this the Venus moves to the western side of the Sun, we will be able to appreciate the neighbor planet as a bright dawn star in eastern skies.
