The large-scaled active region of #2192 in Oct 2014 had several solar explosions, the flare.
This set of images shows you the appearance of a largest-scale (X-class) flare and its change chased through the Hα light.
You can see the flare as over-exposed region between two principal sunspots in an image at 8:33, and the light is reducing with time course.
And the images show several thin stripes between the sunspots, it's called "the post-flare-loops", the prominences with its shapes change in short time. | Full-disk image with Hα light (Oct 25) |
Warning:
When using a telescope for observing or photographing the sun, lacking knowledge of proper solar filtering methods can pose risks of visual impairment or blindness. I do not assume any responsibility for any accidents that may occur as a result of observing or photographing the sun through this site. |
