On this day, comet Kushida was situated high in the evening sky, approximately 3.5 degrees south of ζ Tauri. The total brightness of coma remains nearly unchanged from last month at around 10th magnitude, and it is currently reaching its maximum brightness. The comet will continue to move rapidly eastward from now on, gradually dimming as it does so.
