I could observe the comet 2012S1 ISON for the first time in that day in lower eastern dawn skies, around west part of the Leo with about 11th magnitude in coma brightness. Although the sky was under moonlight of the last quarter, the image shows you the comet has a short but clear dust tail stretched about 5 arc minutes in length.
The image has been cropped with an equivalent f=1500mm. (View angle: 0.9×0.6°)
