The comet Holmes, about a month later from its outburst, in that day has been positioned just west of alpha Persei, can be observed with naked eyes for a little time between set of the Moon and beginning of dawn light. The comet has a visual brightness of about 3.5 or 4.0th magnitude and a larger diameter of about 36 arc minutes beyond thin clouds.
