This image shows you the floating comet Hale-Bopp over evening Mt. Yatsugatake, a famous mountain range at central district of Japan. The Pleiades is setting beyond the ridgeline.
You can detect several striking wintry constellations and bright stars; Aldebaran of Taurus in center of the image, Betelgeuse of Orion in left hand side, and so on. Among them, the comet Hale-Bopp was brighter than any other bright stars trailing a long dust tail.
