Optical: TAKAHASHI 16cm(6.3") epsilon (f=530mm, F3.3)

Camera: VIXEN VX-1
Film: Fujicolor Super G Ace 800

This image shows you the Hale-Bopp three-day prior to its closest approach to the Earth. The heliocentric and geocentric distances were 0.94 a. u. (140 million km) and 190 million km, respectively. I impressed that the comet had an averaged brightness of near -1st magnitude. I could enjoy the naked eye-comet seeming a candle flame although it was comparatively hazy dawn.
