Optical: VIXEN 20cm(7.9") VISAC with a conversion lens (f=1278mm, F6.4)
with BaaderPlanetarium Moon&Skyglow filter
Auto-guided with TAKAHASHI EM-200 Equatorial

The comet Encke in that day has reached around the central region of Virgo, positioned about 2.5 degrees southeast of delta Vir. Although the observed elevation of the comet became fairy low, its coma has remarkably concentrated with a brightness of 7th magnitude, I could easily detect its figure through a telescope. This page has provided a monochrome reversed image which can show you an extraordinary dimmed and thin ion tail stretched toward northwest (upper right hand side) direction.
