On this day, comet 2023E1 Atlas is positioned in the southern sky before midnight, a bit smaller than 4 degrees south of αAqr (Sadalsuud). It appears as a faint, tailless, bluish coma with a brightness of 11th magnitude. The comet will gradually decrease in brightness from this point forward.
