This is a photograph of the comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas in the western evening sky, captured with a telephoto lens. At this time, the comet had just moved from the constellation Virgo into Serpens (Caput). The brightness of the coma was estimated to be 2nd magnitude. The length of the dust tail extending upwards (towards the east) appears to be more than 8 degrees. Additionally, a very faint anti-tail extending downwards (towards the west) from the coma can be observed.
View angle: 2.5×1.7°
