On this day, comet 2023A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas was positioned approximately 11 degrees north of Spica in Virgo, in the southern sky before midnight. The coma's brightness was 10th magnitude, and compared to the previous month's observation, a dust tail extending to the east had rapidly developed, measuring about 10 arc minutes in length.
