with IDAS LPS-P1 Light-pollution suppression filter
Auto-guided with TAKAHASHI EM-200 Equatorial
Digital Camera: Canon EOS 550D (Remodeled)
Location: Koumi town, Nagano pref.

Camera Settings: Recording format...14bit CCD-RAW, converted to 16bit TIFF(5184×3456)
Sensitivity...ISO1600



This page shows you the comet 2014Q2 Lovejoy about five months later of my previous observation. The comet had passed near the celestial north pole in Jun, in that day the comet positioned at the northern edge of Bootes. Although the coma brightness has been down to about 9th magnitude, I could detect the dimmed coma through a telescope. The tail can be seen stretched in NNW with a length of about 20 arc minutes.
