The Comet 2001A2 LINEAR was positioned in the constellation of Cetus this day, the comet has a visual brightness of about 4.5th magnitude and a nebula-like coma with a diameter of about 10 arc minutes. And a very dimmed ion tail stretching in SW direction is detected in this image although only coma was seen through telescopes.
This picture was displayed by trimming central part of original flame.
