The first observation of comet Olbers in that day located in the western low sky in the evening, has a 8th magnitude coma in the northern part of Taurus (approximately 11.5 degrees north of Aldebaran). Due to the twilight conditions during the capture, no tail-like structure could be discerned. Throughout the summer of 2024, comet Olbers is expected to brighten up to magnitude 7 in the northwestern low dusk sky.
