The comet Tempel 2 in that day has been positioned in western Cetus, about 4 degrees southeast of eta Ceti., with a coma brightness of 8th magnitude or so. The comet looks a bit activated than that in last month, we can recognize a fan like ion tail and an indistinct short dust tail.
