The Phoenix is one of newly established constellations by Bayer in 1603, we can see it in lower southern skies in autumn, just south of Sculptor. The constellation can be observed only northern part at almost Japan.
The constellation has a principal star of Zaurac (alpha Phoenicis) with a brightness of 2.4th magnitude in northwest edge. But it's fairly difficult to follow the figure of the phoenix because contains almost no bright stars nor deep sky objects.
This image has been cropped with an equivalent focal length of 80mm.
