The Microscopium is a minor constellation in autumn southern sky lying just south of Capricornus.
The constellation contains only 4th magnitude or fainter stars, and has no major deep sky object. The Microscopium is one of minor constellations that have been established by La Caille in 18th century. He made some other constellations of instruments like telescope, furnace, pump and so on, in addition to this microscope. |
