This is a small nebula about 5 arcminutes in size, located in the northeastern part of the constellation Ophiuchus, roughly 8 degrees northeast of βOph. Although classified as a diffused nebula, it is extremely faint and resembles a molecular cloud with very weak emission components. It is thought to be part of interstellar gas floating somewhat apart from the Milky Way. The planetary nebula NGC6572 can be seen in the lower right of the field of view although the nebula is so small that it appears merely star-like.
This image has been cropped with an equivalent focal length 700mm.
