Sh2-3 is a small but bright H-alpha emission nebula in the southern part of Scorpius. You can find out about 3 degrees southwest of NGC6334, the Cat's paw nebula at the tip of poison needle of Scorpion. The nebula has an elliptical shape and a central dark lane is dividing in north and south parts. In addition, we can see that large-scaled but indistinct H-alpha clouds are surrounding the nebula. An open cluster in right edge is NGC6281.
