A minor emission nebula of Sh2-253 is lying 50 arc minutes west of a 4th star (ν Gem) seen in left hand side of the image at the western edge of Gemini, near a boundary on Orion. We can find the nebula at about 3 degrees south of a unique-shaped H-alpha nebula of the Jerry-fish nebula (IC443) at the leg of Castor. Sh2-253 has a size of only 5 arc minutes at most, moreover the nebula is extraordinary dimmed. It's not a striking target for telescope-aided observation.
This image has been cropped with a focal length of 700mm.
