This image has captured a small emission nebula of Sh2-140 lying about 5 degrees north from ζ Cephei. The nebula has a size of about 10 arc minutes, it has a unique apparent shape of the crescent. We can recognize that a vast dark nebula LDN1204 is obstructing reddish emission nebulosity in background, the accidental arrangement of those nebulae have formed the peculiar and interesting shape. It's estimated that the nebula is about 2900 light years away.
