Sh2-136 is a small reflection nebula positioned at 6 degrees north of alpha Cephei. A central 8th magnitude star shines surrounding gaseous matters and its unique shape has been appeared. The nebula has a nickname of "Ghost Nebula" from its shape. This field contains various shaped reflection nebulae in wide span. A bright reflection nebula of NGC7023 is lying in only 30 arc minutes west of Sh2-136.
