The Sh2-240 is a remnant of supernova that exploded about 200 thousand years ago, and the nebula is extending with a terrific speed yet. Of course we cannot detect the nebula with our naked eyes. It's one of features that the nebula has fine filamentary structures, looks like a very dimmed Veil nebula in Cygnus. This image has been cropped with an equivalent focal length of 180mm. | |
