In southern part of Triangulum, a medium-sized galaxy of NGC784 can be found at about 2 degrees southeast from alpha Tri. The galaxy has been classified in an unclear spiral, has a long axis of about 7 arc minutes and a brightness of 12th magnitude. NGC784 is a member of small-scaled group with NGC672 positioned at 3 degrees southwest; a distance has been estimated as 20 million light years.
