NGC7814 is an edge-on galaxy positioned about 2.5 degrees WNW from gamma Peg (Algenib), southeast star of Pegasus's square. The galaxy has a long axis of about 6 arc minutes, and this image shows you a thin dark lane crossing the center of the galaxy. However the galaxy itself is unexpectedly bright so it's fairly difficult to recognize the dark lane with naked eyes through telescopes.
