It is a small spiral galaxy located 2.6 degrees southeast of ι Piscium in the western part of the constellation.
This face-on galaxy, with a major diameter of just over 2 arcminutes, is characterized by its prominent bright star-forming regions along its arms, despite its small size.
The galaxy is registered as Arp 68 in the catalogue of Peculiar Galaxies.
The distance to NGC7757 is estimated to be 138 million light-years.
