NGC7742 is a small spiral galaxy in southern Pegasus, about 8 degrees southwest from gamma Pegasi. The galaxy has a apparent diameter of less than 2 arc minutes and very dimmed figure, we can hardly recognize its spiral structures with naked eyes. Only nebula like halo can be distinguish from normal stars easily.
