This image shows you a small group of galaxies located in the southern part of the constellation Lacerta, about 30 minutes south of 1 Lac. The large elliptical galaxy seen to the left of the center is NGC7242, which is a little over 2 arc minutes in size. To the west of NGC7242, you can see two small edge-on galaxies about four minutes apart. IC1441 on the left and IC5191 on the right. The distances to these galaxies are estimated at 240-300 million light years.
