This is a medium-sized planetary nebula lurking at the northernmost part of the constellation Cygnus. It can be found about 10 degrees north of Deneb, near the border with Cepheus. Its size exceeds 1 arc minute, and a complex structure can be observed within it. Due to its appearance, it is sometimes called the "Fetus Nebula". NGC7008 is a relatively early-stage planetary nebula, and its 13th magnitude central star, which can be clearly seen in this image, is thought to be in the process of transitioning from a main sequence star to a white dwarf.
