Located approximately 7 degrees NNE of Vega in the northern part of the constellation Lyra, there are two small galaxies paralleled at intervals of 10 arc minutes. The northern one, NGC 6702, is an elliptical galaxy with a diameter of 1.8 arc minutes, while the southern one, NGC 6703, is a slightly larger lenticular galaxy with a diameter of over 2 arc minutes. Both galaxies lack distinct internal structures and only exhibit prominent luminous nuclei.
