A small spiral galaxy in southeastern edge of Serpens Caput (The head of Serpent) has a number of NGC6118. You can find the galaxy out about 2.3 degrees northeast from delta Oph. The galaxy has an elliptical shape with a long axis of less than 5 arc minutes and about 12th magnitude in visual brightness. Although the galaxy has indistinct spiral arms, you can detect only dimmed light like an elliptical galaxy with an aid of larger scopes.
