This is a small barred spiral galaxy located approximately 30 arcminutes northeast of γCom in the northern part of Coma Berenices.
While not directly associated, it is situated at the northern end of the open star cluster Mel. 111 in the constellation.
The galaxy has an east-west major axis of just under 5 arcminutes and has a brightness of 12th magnitude.
Its estimated distance from the Milky Way is approximately 74 million light-years.
