In western region of Coma Berenices, a spiral NGC4393 is lying at 0.7 degrees south of gamma Com.
Although the galaxy is overlapping on the northern part of a huge open cluster of Mel.111, of course they're floating at gigantically different distances.
A glittering star at lower part of the image is fifth-magnitude 14 Com, one of member stars in the open cluster.
NGC4393 has an elliptic shape with a long axis of 4.4 arc minutes and a visual brightness of 12.7th magnitude.
It's hard to recognize its detailed structures. The galaxy is about 46 million light years away, belonging to a small-scaled galaxy group around NGC4631 at 6 degrees north east on the celestial sphere.
