NGC4136 is a small face-on galaxy located near the northwest edge of the constellation Coma Berenices, about 4.2 degrees northwest of the γCom. It has an apparent diameter of just over 4 arcminutes and a brightness of 11th magnitude. In the photograph, several Hα nebulae can be seen scattered along its arms. NGC4136 is part of a galaxy group comprising about 20 galaxies scattered in the northwest part of Coma Berenices, with an estimated distance of around 37 million light-years.
