NGC3666 is a spiral galaxy seen about 50 arcminutes north of ιLeo, which marks the hind leg of Leo.
It is viewed from a nearly edge-on orientation, with a major-axis diameter of just over 4 arcminutes, and no distinct spiral arms are visible.
Its distance from the Milky Way is about 56 million light-years, and it is a member of the Leo II Galaxy Group.
