This is a lenticular galaxy located 5.8 degrees north of ν Ursae Majoris, which marks the tip of the hind leg of Ursa Major. It has a major-axis diameter of 4.3 arcminutes and an apparent magnitude of 11.8. Although not visible in this photograph, a faint dust lane is present around the central nucleus. The galaxy forms a small galaxy group together with nearby galaxies and lies at a distance of about 85 million light-years.
