NGC3631 is a medium sized face-on galaxy in central region of Ursa Major. We can find the galaxy out at about 5 degrees west from gamma UMa, a star that marks one of the cup of Big Dipper. The galaxy has a visual diameter of 5 arc minutes and a brightness of about 11th magnitude. Although you can detect the galaxy as only lump of light with telescope aided eyes, this image shows us the galaxy has clear spiral structures.
