NGC2805 is a medium-scaled spiral galaxy positioned at the head of Ursa Major, about 1.5 degrees northwest of 23 UMa. The galaxy has a brightness of about 11th magnitude and an apparent diameter of a bit larger than 6 arc minutes. This image shows the indistinct arms are wound loosely. And two edge-on galaxies can be detected at about 10 arc minutes northeast of the galaxy, a larger one is NGC2820 and another one is NGC2814. These galaxies are forming a small galaxy group at about 85 millions light years away.
