NGC2654 is the edge-on galaxy located about 2.4 degrees east of the οUMa in the nose of Ursa Major. It has a spindle-shaped appearance with a length of just over 4 arcminutes and a brightness of 12th magnitude. It belongs to a small galaxy group centered around NGC2768, which is located about 3 degrees east of NGC2654.
