NGC24 is an edge-on galaxy positioned near a border to Cetus in northern region of Sculptor. The galaxy has a long axis of a bit smaller than 7 arc minutes and a brightness of about 12th magnitude. NGC24 has been classified in spiral but detailed structures can hardly been detected. The galaxy is forming a small scaled group with surrounding minor galaxies, it's estimated that the group is about 20 millions light years away.
