This picture captured a small-scaled galaxy group lying at about 2.7 degrees northwest of 21 Lyn in the central region of the constellation. NGC2340 is an elliptic galaxy with a long axis of 2.4 arc minutes and a brightness of 11.6th magnitude. The galaxy has formed the NGC2340 group with member galaxies of NGC2332, IC465 and so on in the upper half of the picture. The distance from us has been estimated as about 80 million light years.
