A galaxy in about 1.5 degrees northwest of mu Ceti, forming a head of Cetus, is NGC1024. It's a distinct deep sky object with a size of about 4 arc minutes and a brightness of about 13th magnitude. You can see several companion galaxies in outskirts, a minor one in east of NGC1024 is NGC1020, and southeast one has a number of NGC1029.
