This is a closed up image of the Lagoon nebula. The nebula includes various shaped inter-stellar gaseous matters. And you can detect several black lumps of "globules", embryos of new stars in outer region of the nebula. Some of them have IDs for dark nebulae. Fine stars of an open cluster of NGC6530 have been scattered just east of the center of M8.
