In evening of April 3, 2004, we could appreciate the great approach of the Venus and Pleiades (M45).
In that day it was thin clouds covered but I can detect this beautiful sky event with a binocular. The apparent distance between the Venus and the Melope, the southern bright star in M45, was only 27 arc minutes. The Venus has a shape of like the half Moon and a brightness of about -4.5th magnitude.
