IC1459 is a comparatively bright elliptical galaxy positioned at northern edge of Grus, near a border to Piscis Austrinus. The galaxy has no striking structures with a long axis of about 5 arc minutes and a brightness of 11th magnitude. We can detect several minor galaxies distributed in north-south direction. They're configuring a small-scaled galaxy group. In this image you can see IC5264 in lower and IC5269B in upper.
